Debi Alper and I developed this course together, and co-taught it for some years. These days, Debi takes the lead in the feedback, and I join in as needed and provide an overview of each week’s topic, to broaden and extend the students’ experience.

This six-week online course at Jericho Writers will give you the self-editing skills you need to ensure your novel is as good as it possibly can be, before pitching to agents, or self-publishing with confidence. The course takes place in a private, online forum, and exercises and feedback will be based on your own novel, so you can see how to apply the advice directly to your work-in-progress.

By the end of this course you’ll have all the tools you need to ensure narrative drive, a strong voice, and that your characters, plot, and story development are all in place. You’ll end this course with a clear plan that will enable you to create a final draft that will be ready to submit to agents, or to start the road to self-publishing. You will also receive a detailed course pack on successful completion of the course.
